Caminar en la oscuridad (Walking in the Dark) of the film series - Responding from the Mountains: A Cinematic Geography of the Caribbean. Through two powerful films from Colombia, Honduras and Mexico, this session explores displacement, memory and the enduring relationship between people and the territories they are forced to leave behind.
Oscurana follows unseen footsteps moving through darkness, evoking the journeys of Central American migrants who continue to leave their homes in search of safety. In La Bonga, a sensory journey retraces the symbolic return of a Colombian community displaced by paramilitary violence, reviving a place that now survives only in collective memory.
