Seven Islands and a Metro Screening
24 September, 2026
6:00 PM
Journey through the many cities within Bombay—multilingual, divided, vibrant and ever-changing.
Through imagined debates between Ismat Chughtai and Saadat Hasan Manto, the film explores the art of chronicling this complex metropolis.
Shot largely during the monsoon, it reveals a Bombay that is strikingly beautiful yet ruthlessly violent.
Join us for this landmark non-fiction film by Madhusree Dutta. She will be in conversation with poet and visual artist, Prabodh Parikh and artist Atul Dodiya after the film.
Come watch, reflect and experience Bombay through a different lens.
