A journey through Indian cinema — sound, story, and the monochrome beauty of the final frame. Desaturated is a cinematic time loop — starting in full colour and winding its way back to black and white. This edition of Frames & Frequencies brings together music, film, art, and memory in a ritual-like evening that moves from sound to silence, from vinyl to celluloid.
5 PM – Arrival & Immersive Rituals Begin
• Vinyls of Rockstar: A deep listening session
• Pour-over Coffee Bar: Slow-brewed, single-origin coffee prepared live
• Vinyl Sleeve Showcase: Original artworks + vintage Bollywood vinyl cover display
6 PM – Screening
• Still Rolling – The DDLJ Story (2016/Natashja Rathore)
A 30-minute short documentary on the legacy of DDLJ — joyful, intimate, and reflective.
6:45 PM – Final Screening
• Kagaz Ke Phool (1959/Guru Dutt)
Guru Dutt’s black-and-white classic closes the evening — poetic, emotional, unforgettable. The screening will be followed by a discussion.
