About the film: At Beijing World Park, a bizarre cross-pollination of Las Vegas and Epcot Center where visitors can interact with famous international monuments without ever leaving the city’s suburbs, a security guard betrays his dancer girlfriend by pursuing another woman.
This is part of a 2 month retrospective on Jia Zhangke.
About the venue, the gates open at 7:45 PM, and the screening will begin at 8:00 PM right after a brief introduction to the curation and the film. Following the film, there will be a brief discussion on the film amongst the attendees.
