About the film: Two disaffected, unemployed Chinese youth drift through life on the streets of their industrial town, their paths crossing with that of a local young singer and dancer working for a liquor company as a spokesmodel.
This film is part of our 2 month director retrospective on Jia Zhangke by The Parallel Cinema Club
About the venue, the gates open at 7:45 PM, and the screening will begin at 8:00 PM right after a brief introduction to the curation and the film. Following the film, there will be a brief discussion on the film amongst the attendees.
